Ashley Abel

Ashley is a rising 4th year Ph.D. candidate in Genetics at Yale studying human development in Prof. Berna Sozen's group. She is a scientific consultant for Manhattan-based female reproductive health startup Gameto and was a Fifty 50 Cohort Member with the SF-based Fifty Years VC in 2023. Ashley also serves as President of Women and Gender Minorities in Science at Yale, combining her passion for biotech and gender equity. She has previously served as the VP of Career Development for YBC and VP of Activities for Yale Graduate Consulting Club. She's excited to expand and diversify YBC programs this upcoming year to enhance opportunities for the Yale community!
