Unlocking the Potential of Data for Climate and Environmental Initiatives

 

Join us for an exciting two-day journey at the intersection of data science and environmental conservation! The Yale Biotech Club is thrilled to announce the 2024 Yale Biotech Club Datathon, a dynamic and intensive event dedicated to the exploration of environmental data. We welcome enthusiasts from science, engineering, business, and any related fields to dive into the world of data analysis and contribute towards meaningful environmental conservation efforts.

This focused event spans two action-packed days of data exploration. Participants will delve into pressing questions and challenges in the environmental sciences, armed with our non-profit partners, Conservation X Labs and Yale Program on climate change communication. It's an opportunity to showcase your skills, creativity, and passion for making a difference through data.

Whether you're a student or professional with a background in science, engineering, business, management, or any field where data plays a key role, we invite you to apply. Programming experience not required but encouraged. We will host a couple data exploration workshops to equip participants with basic coding tools. This event is designed to harness diverse perspectives and skills in pursuit of innovative solutions to environmental challenges. Compete for a chance to win up to $1,500 USD!

Our panel of 3-5 esteemed judges includes industry sponsors, members of Yale's academic community, and experts in related fields. A keynote speaker from the relevant industry will also share insights and experiences, enriching the event with professional wisdom and inspiration.
